Lusaka School

Having been introduced to Human Service Trust (HST), an excellent group of people concerned particularly with the plight of young children, we created a scheme where 50 acres of land they had been given could be turned into a profit centre that would fund the day to day running of a school.

WTN raised the money for the construction of the new school building, as well as for the purchase of a tractor for use on the farm.

Once the work was complete, HST then opened the school to local children.

To begin with over 300 children took advantage of the free education, and now that number has risen to more than 600. To date the school has been self financing.
